Fidel Chaves (Buenos Aires, 1996) es licenciado y profesor en Ciencias Biológicas (UBA) y estudia Edición en la misma universidad. Trabaja en comunicación científica. Publicó el libro de cuentos Cinco fragmentaciones del alma (El Buscador, 2018) y escribe desde 2020 el newsletter Diario de un Robot.
Fidel Chaves (Buenos Aires, 1996) holds a degree and a teaching qualification in Biological Sciences (UBA) and studies Editing at the same university. He works in science communication. He published the short story collection Cinco fragmentaciones del alma (El Buscador, 2018) and has written the newsletter Diario de un Robot since 2020.
Fidel Chaves nació en Buenos Aires en 1996. Es licenciado y profesor en Ciencias Biológicas por la Universidad de Buenos Aires, donde hoy estudia Edición. Participó en investigaciones sobre el comportamiento de las abejas, publicadas en Scientific Reports, y desde 2023 trabaja como especialista en comunicación científica en una empresa de biotecnología. Escribe en castellano, inglés y francés.
En 2018 publicó el libro de cuentos Cinco fragmentaciones del alma (Editorial El Buscador) y actualmente edita La chispa, su segundo libro de cuentos. Sostiene dos newsletters: Diario de un Robot (desde 2020), de ficción y ensayo sobre ciencia y tecnología, y A quien corresponda (desde 2022), sobre literatura y consignas de escritura. También coordina talleres de escritura creativa para adolescentes y adultos.
Fidel Chaves was born in Buenos Aires in 1996. He holds a degree and a teaching qualification in Biological Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, where he now studies Editing. He took part in research on bee behavior published in Scientific Reports and, since 2023, works as a science communication specialist at a biotechnology company. He writes in Spanish, English and French.
In 2018 he published the short story collection Cinco fragmentaciones del alma (Editorial El Buscador) and is currently editing La chispa, his second collection. He keeps two newsletters: Diario de un Robot (since 2020), fiction and essays on science and technology, and A quien corresponda (since 2022), on literature and writing prompts. He also runs creative writing workshops for teenagers and adults.
